After the first interview with Adrian from Akosma Software, today is the time to interview a really young developer: Jonas Schnelli from Include7.
I can imagine you already have an iPad, wath do you think about it?
Yes. I have one since monday 5.April (thanks to Adrian from akosma!).
I’m pretty excited about it. In my opinion: what we have here is just the top of the iceberg.
The iPad as hardware allows users to have a very powerfull platform for applications and solutions.
And: never forget that the current iPad model is a first generation device.
Projects on iPad?
I think in the next couple of weeks i can release a tiny transport-like iPad app for Zürich and region.
And if it’s successfull I will extend it.
Apple has finally released the iPhone OS 4 to developers, after a great event, what do you think about it? First Impressions.
After the keynote I was thinking that this could be the death blow for other devices.
If all functions will be accepted from the public and if they are running smoothly, bye bye Android, bye bye Symbian/Maemo.
iPhone OS 4 include multitasking, how this new feature can change the App World? And, what do you think about future apps using multitasking?
If you ask me, multitasking is heavy overrated. Background processes are sometimes useful, but this will not allow to finally write the “super-killer-app”.
The standard consumer will focus more on longer battery time than on some basic alarm / geo-tracking background daemons.
You are a young developer, in a big market, heading one of the leading company (Include7) based in Switzerland that develops mobile apps, how is the market in Switzerland?
Booming and won’t stop.
Last, what do you think about the future of Apple devices (iPad, iPhone, iTouch, etc…) in Swiss Market?
Swiss people have a great heart for Apple products. The iPhone/iPod wave is also the main cause, that a lot of people buy more Apple’s computers. Nice OS, nice design and they are just working well.
Really thanks to Jonas Schnelli from Include7 for the time dedicated to answer to those questions.
